Volunteers named to Red Cross board of directors

Twenty-seven volunteers have accepted positions on the American Red Cross of East Central Wisconsin Chapter board of directors.

Through recent consolidation of the Fond du Lac, Neenah-Menasha and the East Central Wisconsin chapters, local volunteers continue to have a voice as programs and services work down the street, across the country and around the world.

Board members serve on a voluntary basis and are dedicated to assisting and furthering the Red Cross mission to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

The board’s responsibilities include adhering to national standards, strategic planning, overseeing services and programs, fundraising and evaluating the chapter executive. In addition, they also serve on one or more board committees including Executive, Philanthropy, Nominating, Finance, and Service Delivery.

The Executive Committee includes Board Chair John Schorse of Envision Retirement Planning LLC, who also serves as the Regional Advisory Council chair; Vice Chair Eileen Leinweber, a retired health-care professional; Secretary Pam Hillen of Theda Care); Amy Sitter of Baker Tilly; Dan Morrill of Servant Insurance; Kevin Greek of Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue; and Rick Parks of Society Insurance.

Additional members of the board of directors include: Barbara Beuscher of UW Oshkosh Foundation; Diane Cappazzo, Fond du Lac County Health Department; Nancy Clark, Foth Companies; Tim Cook, Clarity Care; Mike Drees, Affinity Health; Mary Hansen, health-care professional; Barb Jansky, American Bank; Vicki Jenks, musician; Jack Klein, Lowe’s Home Centers; Andrea Koch, M&I Bank; Tim Lamers, Citizen’s First Credit Union — Business Lending Group; Patty Lorfeld, Affinity Health; Julie Malueg, J.J. Keller; Karyn Merkel, Charter Communications; Mike Parmentier, Edgarton, St. Peter, Petak & Rosenfeldt; Lisa Piikkila, Coalesce Inc.; David Sakrison, Sakrison Communications; Mike Starshak, Trust Wisconsin; Stephen Walbert, retired from AT&T; and Kevin Harrison, will also be an adjunct board member through the Leadership Oshkosh program and through his employer, GE Gas & Oil.

The East Central Wisconsin Chapter serves residents of Florence, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, upper one-third of Marinette, Marquette, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties in Wisconsin and Dickinson County in Michigan.
