NOTE: This is the Fifth Fire the Lakeland Chapter has Responded to in six days.
The American Red Cross Lakeland Chapter responded to a house fire that occurred around 1:30am on Wednesday, January 21 in the town of Sobieski, affecting two adults and four children.
Two American Red Cross Disaster Volunteers assisted the family with monetary assistance for immediate clothing needs and food, comfort kits (which include soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, comb, facial tissue, deodorant, razors, shaving cream and lotion) and home-made quilts. At this time the family is staying with relatives.
Red Cross disaster assistance is free and is made possible by community donations.
